The Serbian Orthodox Church's Bishops' Council dismissed Metropolitan Justin from his position overseeing the Žicha Eparchy, according to an announcement made by church leadership.

On February 18, Patriarch Porfirije marked the fifth anniversary of the accession to the leadership of the Serbian Orthodox Church by temporarily dismissing Bishop Justin (Stefanović) of Žiče from the administration of the diocese. The final "execution" was left to the Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, whose May session under the patriarch's presidency is coming to an end.

The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church concluded its May session in Belgrade, during which Bishop Justin of Žiča was replaced. The meeting was chaired by Patriarch Porfirije.
