Greece, Cyprus, US and Israel to Launch East Med Energy Center Greece, Cyprus, Israel and the United States will officially launch the East Med Energy Center this week, marking a major milestone in regional cooperation and implementing a key provision of the EastMed Act that has remained pending since its passage in 2019. The announcement will be made on Thursday in Houston, Texas, by the four countries that make up the “3+1” partnership, which was established to strengthen strategic cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean. The new centre will serve as a permanent platform for collaboration in energy, technology, innovation and research, bringing together governments, universities, research institutions and private sector companies.
