Representatives of ancestral territories launched on Wednesday (27), in São Paulo, the Alliance of Peoples and Traditional Communities Guardians of the Atlantic Forest. The launch took place at the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP), on the National Day of the Atlantic Forest. Formed by indigenous peoples, caiçaras, quilombolas, caboclos, shellfish gatherers, terreiro people and artisanal fishermen from various parts of the country, the alliance was organized to represent and defend the Forest Atlântica, one of the most threatened biomes in the country.
