Turkish authorities have confiscated the bank accounts and safe deposit boxes of 18 individuals, including Selim İmamoğlu and Fatih Keleş, as part of an ongoing Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) investigation.

In recent days, videos of the now detained individual had gone viral on social media. The director of Culture of the IMM said that they had initiated legal action.

Presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, detained in connection with an Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) case, publicly expressed support for Özgür Özel, stating he is 'my companion' and 'our president.' The statement followed a video release by opposition leader Kılıçdaroğlu.
