Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have killed suspected bandits and dismantled their hideouts in the highlands in Sokoto State. . The highlands are located in a community bordering Zamfara, around Dangulbi and Kurawa villages in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Police operatives in Sokoto have foiled bandit attacks on three villages in Wamakko Local Government Area of the state. The Spokesman for the state police command, Ahmad Rufai, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Sokoto. He said one suspect was arrested while 11 cows and five sheep were rescued by the operatives.
