According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the visit aims to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, irrigation, livestock, agricultural trade, exports and imports of agricultural products, knowledge exchange, and the use of India's expertise and achievements in these sectors. Ministry spokesperson Shir Mohammad Hatami said: "During the visit, the Minister of Agriculture is scheduled to meet with officials from India's Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, as well as senior government officials and private sector representatives, to discuss expanding bilateral agricultural cooperation." This marks the fourth visit by a minister of the Islamic Emirate to India in the past two years.
